Vehicle Master

Employee commuting is one of the hardest Scope 3 categories to estimate well. Vehicle Master replaces generic assumptions with a catalogue of vehicles that the App provides out of the box, covering sedans, pickups, motorcycles and popular EV, hybrid and NGV models, each with brand, model, year, engine size, fuel type and fuel economy in km per litre (or km per kWh for EVs).

Organizations extend the catalogue with their own entries. Vehicles are owned per organization, so one company's additions are never visible to another, and managers can create, edit and retire entries with every change written to the audit log. Search by brand or model and filters by fuel type and vehicle type keep the list usable as it grows.

The commuting calculation follows from the catalogue: one-way distance times two times working days, divided by km per litre, gives litres per month; dividing by the number of people sharing the car applies a carpool discount; multiplying by the fuel-specific factor gives kg CO2e per person. Thirteen fuel types are supported, from Gasoline 91 and 95 through E20, E85, diesel blends, NGV, LPG, EV and hybrid.
