Goals & Reduction Initiatives
Set baseline and target years, track progress from real activity data, and manage the projects that deliver the reduction.
Request a demoA carbon target is only useful if progress against it is measured from the same inventory you report. In CarbonBiz a goal is defined by a baseline year and value and a target year and value; the App checks that the target year is later and the target value is lower, and computes the reduction percentage automatically. The current value is not typed in: it is summed from the activities recorded in the goal window, and progress is calculated as the distance travelled from baseline towards target. Progress can go negative when emissions rise, which is deliberate.
An organization can keep several goals at once, for example a short-term target, a long-term target and a net-zero commitment, each shown as a progress ring on the dashboard with a baseline-to-target timeline.
Reduction Initiatives sit underneath the goals. Each initiative has a category (energy, transport, waste, process, nature or other), a target and actual reduction in tonnes, a status from planning to completed, start and end dates, an optional cost in baht for cost per tonne analysis, and notes. A target-versus-actual bar on each card shows how much of the promised reduction has been delivered.
What you can do
- Baseline and target year and value with server-side validation
- Automatic reduction percentage and progress from recorded activities
- Multiple goals per organization with dashboard progress rings
- Initiatives in six categories with target versus actual tonnes
- Status lifecycle, dates, cost in THB and notes per initiative
